Murchison Family Scholarship Offered by Friends of Cal-Ore Fish
Application Dead line: February 1st of each year.
Note to Applicant: Applications must be complete to be considered. You have the ultimate responsibility to ensure that the application, all forms and transcripts are received by FCOF and postmarked by the above stated deadline. Applications received or postmarked after this date will not be considered and will be returned as non-responsive.
Eligibility
- Sponsor must be a current Guide member of Friends of Cal-Ore Fish, Inc.
- Recipient must be a dependent or grandchild of a guide who has participated in a minimum of 6 FCOF derbies or participated in 3 years of FCOF derbies.
- Recipient must be a High School graduate or GED certificate.
- At the time of award the recipient must be enrolled in a college, university, of Trade/Business School that is in compliance with all applicable IRS codes.
- Recipient to provide proof of enrollment prior to distribution of funds.
- Recipient must be enrolled in at least twelve (12) academic units per semester during the year of the scholarship award or an equivalent number of academic units per quarter if on a quarterly based system.
Awards
- Scholarships shall be awarded for one-year terms and the amount may vary each year.
- Scholarships are not automatically renewed, however you may reapply the following year.
- Recipient is responsible for providing proof of enrollment prior to scholarship distributions.
Selection Process:
Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by the Scholarship Committee of the FCOF, which will consider applicant's eligibility, grades, community service participation, extracurricular activities and employment experience.
