Dear Angler Friends, Participants and Sponsors:

On behalf of Friends of Cal-Ore Fish, I am pleased to offer an invitation to attend this year’s 28th Anniversary event.  As this is one of the primary fund-raising events that makes all the grant allocations possible for our organization your continued support and participation is vital.

Last year we donated funds to Rowdy Creek Fish Hatchery, our primary recipient.  In addition, we were able to provide funds to Elk River Hatchery, Oregon South Coast Fisherman, Elk River Fin Clipping Program-Chetco, Chetco River Gauging station, Chetco River Ice Box Access, and the Murchison Family Scholarship Fund.

Friends of Cal-Ore Fish is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enhancement of fisheries and streams in our area, with the goal of providing funding for fishing programs in our area.  The tax-deductible donation of $3,000 per team of 4 ($750) per person) includes your “Club Friend” Membership membership or how about becoming a “Business Sponsor Friend”?  In addition, professionally guided fishing, equipment, gear, meals, refreshments as was well as great derby collectible gifts are provided for the event.  Although accommodations and transportation are the responsibility of the participants, we will make the room assignments based on the information provided in the entry form.  Rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis so get your entry form in soon.  Please do not call the Ship Ashore for room reservations, as they will not be able to assist you.  Additional days and RV reservations can also be made through the derby headquarters.

Your completed entry form can be mailed or faxed but is not considered confirmed or room assignments given until a 50% deposit is received.  Guides are also assigned on a first come, first served basis and so get that entry form and money in quickly.  The fastest sign up method is through our website interactive entry form.  Go to www.cal-orefish.org and follow the links to “Fundraising Events”. Once your form is submitted you will be contacted for a deposit.

Remember that the majority of our success at these events depends on quality items being donation for the raffle and auction.  So we ask that each team member bring on raffle item and each team donate at least one auction item to assist in the fundraising efforts. Each team should have an auction item worth $350 or more and a few miscellaneous raffle items.  The quality of these items is directly related to our fundraising efforts so please help!  If you would like to make a cash donation and have the derby buy your auction or raffle items, please contact derby headquarters.

We hope you  will be able to join us at one of our 28th Anniversary 2010 events.  We know you will have a great time.  Great Fishing, good food, old friends…what could be a better way to help a good cause?  If you have any questions or would like to receive additional information please call 541-412-7474.  You can also send an email to derby@cal-orefish.org.

Come be part of the fun!

Sincerely,

Board of Directors – 2009-10
