WHY Become a Friend of Cal-Ore Fish?

To engage in a venue, with a group of people that share a common interest, and that interest is as set forth by the "Mission Statement" of Friends of Cal-Ore Fish, which reads;

  • To preserve, protect, and enhance anadromous fish and their environs.
  • To ensure that all persons will always be able to celebrate the great tradition of outdoor pursuits and enjoy vibrant and healthy anadromous fish populations.

To participate within an organization, and with a group of people that share a common purpose, and that purpose is as set forth by the "Objectives & Purpose" of Friends of Cal-Ore Fish, which reads;

  • To foster and support the efforts of Rowdy Creek Hatchery.
  • To continue and further support the "Murchison Family Scholarship Fund".
  • To locate, and then participate in, beneficial in-stream projects.
  • To undertake activities that furthers the body of knowledge concerning the life cycle of north coast fish, and make that knowledge available to the public.

What We Do…

  • Protect North Coast Fisheries and Habitat
  • Enhance and Restore North Coast Rivers and Streams
  • Promote Advocacy Which Will Enhance Our Fishing Traditions
  • Educate The Public On Critical Fisheries Issues
  • Support Education Through Our Scholarship Program
  • Support Education through school sponsored fisheries projects
  • Expand our Youth Programs
  • Increase Volunteer Opportunities
  • Continue to Strengthen the Organization
